  • Twitter – 500 million with 7 million daily active users

  1. Facebook – 12 PM to 1 PM OR 7 PM to 11 PM (BEST) | 8 PM to 8 AM (WORST)

  • Facebook and Twitter are the most popular social media marketing tools for brands.
  • Pinterest is the third most popular social networking website (after Facebook and Twitter) in the United States
  • Over 50% of LinkedIn users have a Bachelor’s degree and they use the site as their professional networking website.
  • Pinterest drives more traffic than Google+, YouTube and LinkedIn combined.
  • 91% of mobile internet access is for social networking activities.
  • 92% of Twitter Retweets are for “interesting content”.
  • 8 AM – 7 PM slot is considered as “busy hours” and the 8 PM – 7 AM slot is considered as “non-busy hours”.
  • Brands are more active during weekdays and not weekends on social media websites.
  • Lowest click though rates happen on Saturdays and Sundays. That’s the reason why you see less traffic on weekends. Maximum click through rate can be achieved by tweeting less than 5 tweets per hour.
  • The highest percentage of users read in the morning. So it’s a good idea to publish your blog posts in the morning and share the content on social media during its peak timing.
  • Almost 50% of U.S. population is in the Eastern Time Zone. Hence following the EST is a better option.
